{"id":211198,"date":"2025-11-18T13:26:31","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T18:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/?p=211198"},"modified":"2025-11-18T14:42:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T19:42:03","slug":"male-arrested-for-allegedly-driving-company-vehicle-while-intoxicated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/male-arrested-for-allegedly-driving-company-vehicle-while-intoxicated\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver arrested for allegedly driving company vehicle while intoxicated"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On November 17, 2025, at 2:56 p.m., officers of the Huntsville OPP responded to a complaint of a male possibly driving while impaired on Highway 35 in Lake of Bays Township.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The information obtained by police was that the male allegedly smelled of alcohol and was driving a commercial truck with a bucket arm on it, a specific company name on the door, and a licence plate number was provided.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police located the vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 60 and stopped the vehicle after it exited onto Highway 11 southbound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers suspected the driver to have alcohol in his body and the driver subsequently failed the roadside screening test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the investigation, Reginald WILSON, 34 years old of Pakenham Ontario, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; blood alcohol concentration (80plus)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive commercial motor vehicle while in contravention of conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fail to maintain daily log<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The accused is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 16, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The large company vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and the accused was also served a 90 Administrative Driver&#8217;s Licence Suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event could have easily been avoided had the driver planned ahead before consuming alcohol.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t include alcohol or drugs in any plans to drive.
