Tim leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara (Carr-Harris) Harpell; sons David (Ge), Eric (Heather), Michael (Crystal), and Greg (Lisa); and grandsons Thomas, Ethan, Trevor, Craig, John, and Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim lived a life dedicated to family and service. His passion for helping others began with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, and Fort Henry Guard. A graduate of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology (EOIT) and Queen&#8217;s University (Electrical Engineering &#8217;69), he worked at Measurement Engineering Ltd., taught at Sir&nbsp;Sanford&nbsp;Fleming College, then transitioned to business at Searle&#8217;s (Siemens) Instrumentation Division before founding his own company. Tim pioneered the introduction of nuclear medicine diagnostics in Canada, building a 30+ year career known for integrity and strong industry relationships.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An adventurous spirit, Tim enjoyed skiing, sailing, and flying. He earned his private pilot licence and was the first Canadian to take delivery of a new design of composite aircraft, eventually flying it across Canada and northern Canada with his son Eric.&nbsp;&nbsp;Tim will be remembered as an accomplished, fun-loving husband, father, and grandfather who lived life honourably and fully. His generosity, adventurous nature, and commitment to family left an indelible mark on all who knew him.&nbsp;&nbsp;We celebrate Tim&#8217;s life on August 24th, 2:00-4:00pm at 384 Watson Ave, Oakville, Ontario.
