March 30, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>UPDATED on March 30 at 4:36 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Freezing Rain Warning by Environment Canada&nbsp;continues&nbsp;today for the&nbsp;Town of Huntsville and&nbsp;is&nbsp;forecast&nbsp;to&nbsp;continue until this&nbsp;evening.&nbsp;The Huntsville area has received a mix of snow and&nbsp;<strong>freezing rain&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>over the past 24 hours&nbsp;causing&nbsp;fallen&nbsp;trees, power outages and significant ice buildup&nbsp;on roads,&nbsp;sidewalks&nbsp;and surfaces.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Residents are&nbsp;advised to avoid&nbsp;non-essential travel.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public Works crews continue to perform winter maintenance operations on primary and secondary roads and would like to thank the community for their patience as our teams work safely to perform winter operations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents are&nbsp;encouraged&nbsp;to touch base with family,&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;neighbours&nbsp;as, during prolonged weather events, these touchpoints can make a meaningful difference to someone in need of&nbsp;assistance&nbsp;or support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Canada Summit Centre operations are&nbsp;running,&nbsp;and the building is open to the public until 11:00pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The District of Muskoka declared a S<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.muskoka.on.ca\/en\/news\/significant-weather-event-declared-for-all-district-roads-in-muskoka-mar-29-2025.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">ignificant Weather Event effective March 29, 2025<\/a>&nbsp;which pertains to operations on all District roads.&nbsp;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/dont-miss-out-on-doppler\/\"><u>here<\/u><\/a> to receive our email digest with links to our most recent stories.<br \/>\nLocal news in your inbox so you don&#8217;t miss anything!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"background: #5cb85c url('https:\/\/d1iczxrky3cnb2.cloudfront.net\/red_logo.png') no-repeat 37px;
