Dear Friends:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has occurred to me recently that the time between Halloween at the end of October and Christmas in December seems more like seven days instead of seven weeks. Time just seems to fly as we near the end of the year! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of our Doppler team, I want to thank you all for once again making Doppler your primary source for local news and commentary. Thanks to you, we reached a new milestone this year with more than 100,000 readers and a high level of reader retention on both of our Doppler sites.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In September of next year, Doppler will celebrate ten years as an online news source serving Muskoka and East Parry Sound. We are proud to have become a household name for news, information, and commentary over this time, and we are thankful for the growth and support we have witnessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we move forward into 2025, our pledge to you is to continue to provide the communities we serve with quality journalism and information. Clearly, the coming year will be an interesting one, with two elections in Canada and growing concerns about the effect another Trump administration in the United States could have on this country. We will not only be covering these events from a Muskoka perspective, but we will dig down on local stories and continue to be the go-to source for what is happening in Muskoka and East Parry Sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, of course, are also very grateful to our advertisers for choosing Doppler as a source of promotion for their business. We have received a number of testimonials from them on the success of their ads on Doppler. Our advertisers are a vital source of revenue for Doppler, and we urge you to support them whenever you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also very thankful for the many readers and subscribers to Doppler who support us with voluntary contributions either monthly or on an annual or one-time basis. These generous gifts put the \u2018icing on the cake\u2019 in terms of allowing us to continue to provide news and information to our readers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
