Its mission is to educate the public about  local bereavement support resources, offer direct one-on-one support to individuals coping with loss, and highlight key observances such as National Grief and Bereavement Day and Children\u2019s  Grief Awareness Day, both of which take place in the third week of November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this initiative, The Butterfly Project aims to foster understanding and provide a compassionate network for those navigating the difficult journey of grief. All ages are invited to colour\/craft a\u00a0 beautiful Remembrance Butterfly.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Butterfly Project started last year when Hospice Huntsville received a grant from the&nbsp; Children\u2019s Grief Foundation of Canada for the project. Hospice Huntsville continues to offer the&nbsp; Butterfly Project once again this year to the community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A beautiful kaleidoscope butterfly display will be showcased at each venue. Butterflies will&nbsp; flutter over to Hospice Huntsville\/Algonquin Grace in the new year, to honour &amp; cherish our&nbsp; loved ones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be Hospice volunteer\/staff member on hand to provide support and guidance. The organization provides extended support for family members\/caregivers. Hospice Huntsville has been providing palliative care support to our community since 1989. Our visiting volunteer program provides bedside support in our client\u2019s homes, Algonquin Grace Hospice Residence or at the hospital. This service will allow family and caregiver respite. Grief and bereavement program supports family and caregivers after their loved one has died. Algonquin Grace Hospice Residence welcomed its first hospice residents in January 2012. The beautiful five-bed facility provides 24-hour professional,\u00a0 compassionate nursing and personal support.
