This enables MAHC to move forward with its submission to the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The board\u2019s decision follows extensive consultation and analysis, including strong community feedback and endorsement from key stakeholders. The plan includes the recommendation to add 10 new beds to the Bracebridge site, bringing the total number of beds to 46. This adjustment ensures that MAHC is addressing the future healthcare needs of the region while maintaining high standards of patient care,&#8221; notes a release issued by MAHC yesterday following the board&#8217;s decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s vote is an important step toward the future of healthcare in Muskoka,\u201d stated Carla Ladd, Chair of the Capital Redevelopment Steering Committee and Vice Chair of the Board, in a release issued by MAHC following its board&#8217;s decision. \u201cThe approval of the Stage 1.3 submission demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering sustainable healthcare solutions and ensuring that the needs of our community are met. At the end of the day, this is all about our patients. It&#8217;s great that we will renew these buildings, but more importantly, there will be more services and markedly better care at both hospitals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Board Chair Dave Uffelmann was also quoted as saying: \u201cThis decision reflects the board\u2019s strong belief in the plan\u2019s vision for Muskoka\u2019s healthcare system. It is a testament to the tireless efforts of so many at MAHC, including the capital redevelopment planning team and our board, as well as the dedication of past MAHC boards, board chairs, management teams, and many stakeholders over the past decade.
