Three years ago \u2013 when he was just four \u2013 he decided he wanted to help raise money for SickKids.<\/p>\n<p>His parents, Christine Barkey and Mike Graham, own Huntsville Home Hardware and the company is an avid supporter of the hospital. (Photo: Christine Barkey)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So he did what many young children do: he put up a lemonade stand. It was wildly successful, to the tune of $1500. His mom says that after the first fundraiser, when he was asked why he wanted to help, he said simply, \u2018I just want to help the kids.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty cute,\u201d says Christine. \u201cWe are super proud of him wanting to do this each year. He gets so excited and he wants to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fundraiser happens on the day before Father\u2019s Day \u2013 this year on June 18 \u2013 and Griffin, aided by his sister Sofia and good friend Neveah Green, sold lemonade and cookies in front of the Home Hardware while a charity barbecue went on behind the store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are so generous,\u201d says Christine. \u201cSome just came and made donations without wanting anything.\u201d Others made donations ahead of time knowing they wouldn\u2019t be in town that day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(The hospital) has touched everyone in some way. We all know kids who\u2019ve had to go there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, Griffin raised $1,328 and has raised a combined total of $3,828 over three years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don&#8217;t miss out on Doppler!
