Their commitment over the years has saved lives and improved patient care at Huntsville Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In their latest act of generosity, Chris and George surprised the Foundation with a generous gift by transferring securities to help acquire new medical equipment for Huntsville Hospital. While the specifics of the donation amount have been kept confidential at their request, the impact of their investment will be felt across multiple departments, including Emergency, ICU, and Surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have been long time supporters of Huntsville Hospital because we recognize how important our hospital is for the community,\u201d shares Chris. \u201cWe love our hospital, and it\u2019s our responsibility to support it,\u201d adds Chris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When discussing their decision to give through securities, George explains, \u201cwe chose to give through securities because it is a benefit to us and the hospital. Donating appreciated securities, such as stocks or mutual funds, can help save on taxes, and it\u2019s convenient. If it is an option for you, I encourage you to have a conversation with your financial advisor as it could offer tax advantages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, the Foundation is preparing for a historic campaign to build a new hospital. Chris and George are excited about this new chapter and passionate about continuing their legacy of investing in the needs of the hospital today and into the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSometimes the words \u2018thank you\u2019 don\u2019t seem like enough,\u201d says Katherine Craine, CEO of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. \u201cChris and George are kind, caring, and incredibly generous. We are grateful that they are part of our hospital family.
