{"id":157403,"date":"2024-06-30T19:05:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-30T23:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=157403"},"modified":"2024-06-30T20:11:22","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T00:11:22","slug":"doctors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/doctors\/","title":{"rendered":"Physician Incentive Program \u2013 community support call-out"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>From the Town of Huntsville<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the urgent need for family physicians in Huntsville, Huntsville Council supported the development of a Physician Incentive Program (report\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/huntsvilleon.civicweb.net\/document\/83304\/Physician%20Recruitment%20Incentive%20Package.pdf?handle=B67DCCDE11294FC785C041A4F98A3397\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DEV-2024-51<\/span><\/a>) on May 27, 2024. Within this program, up to 10 family physicians will be offered the following in exchange for five years of service:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$60k for taking over a family practice, and up to $80k for those setting up a new family practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muskoka Heritage Place and Pioneer Village one-year family pass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family Skate\/Swim one-year membership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Community Supported Incentives \u2013 Will you help be part of the cure?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Town&#8217;s financial contribution, the Huntsville community has come together through businesses, organizations, groups, and residents to offer additional incentives to attract physicians, including financial contributions, in-kind support, and donations. These include things like memberships, discounts, and restaurant vouchers, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before we finalize the package, we wanted to make sure we reached out to you, our community, to see if there was anything else you would like to contribute to enhance the package!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of community support for our Physician Incentive Program \u2013 local businesses, groups, and individuals have been incredible in contributing generously,\u201d said\u00a0Councillor Scott Morrison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you are a resident, business, or organization who wants to support healthcare in our community \u2013 this is your chance.
