The updated charges represent an increase of $435 per unit for single &amp; semi-detached houses and an increase of $0.08 per square foot for non-residential construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exemptions are available for eligible affordable housing development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Development charges are levied against new development imposed to assist in financing the infrastructure required to meet the increased need for services resulting from growth and development.
