I want, once again, to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers and subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although 2023 has presented us with some challenges, most notably Canadian news sources being barred from some social media channels, we continue to be the go-to source for people who want to know what is going on in Muskoka and East Parry Sound.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team works hard to bring you real local news \u2013 not just traffic alerts and media releases but deep-down stories about what is going on in the communities that we serve. Local news and commentary by local people continue to be our passion and our mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have also noticed an increase in comments from our readers on articles, news stories, letters, and Speak Up!&nbsp; These contributions and comments help us do a better job as your local news source and we value the opportunity to give our readers a platform for their thoughts and concerns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are of course grateful to our advertisers, who not only see Doppler as a good way to promote their business but also make it possible for us to provide a valuable news source to Muskoka and East Parry Sound.&nbsp; But advertising revenue alone does not allow us to meet all<strong> <\/strong>of our operating expenses and also expand our resources to serve you better.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is why we are extremely grateful to those of our readers who provide voluntary contributions to Doppler either once a year or monthly. We sincerely thank you for this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is also why, twice each year we reach out to those of our readers who might also want to make a voluntary donation to Doppler. If you have not yet had that opportunity in the past year and would like to do so, it would be very helpful to us in maintaining and enhancing the high quality of Doppler. It is easy to do.
