The organization commits to fulfilling its mission of bringing communities together through experiences that foster skill development, self-confidence, increased health and strength, and opportunities for exploration and growth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As we unveil the 2022-2023 Annual Report, I am proud to witness the impactful outcomes achieved by&nbsp; our organization under our &#8216;Forward, Together&#8217; Strategic Plan\u201d, said Jill Tettmann, CEO of the YMCA of&nbsp; Simcoe\/Muskoka. \u201cThis past year has seen great progress in cultivating a positive workplace,&nbsp; strengthening our organizational legacy, and fostering meaningful connections within our communities.&nbsp; The commitment to our mission is evident in the dedication of our staff and the generosity of our supporters. With confidence in our strategic direction, we look forward to meeting the evolving needs of&nbsp; the communities we serve, ensuring a future where everyone belongs.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One year into the plan, the YMCA is pleased with its progress and advances toward the goals outlined in its four strategic directions: cultivating a great place to work and volunteer, strengthening the legacy of the Y for future generations, connecting people to meaningful experiences, and promoting the power of the Y.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Y is proud to share with the community some of the many accomplishments from this past year in&nbsp; their 2022-2023 Annual Report, including the following highlights:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Volunteers gave 19,653 hours of their time to support YMCA programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Over $1,151,000 was raised through annual fundraising events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 2,700 newcomers were welcomed and supported by YMCA Immigrant Services. \u2022 954 youth gained valuable skills, found jobs, and started their leadership journey with the&nbsp; YMCA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 YMCA licensed Child Care and Before &amp; After School Care programs supported over 5,000&nbsp; children with a safe space to play, learn, and grow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 21,154 people visited YMCA Employment and Learning Services centres in-person and virtually to find resources and support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Over 1,100 families received financial assistance to access YMCA health, fitness, and aquatics programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 684 children and youth attended camp with support from the YMCA\u2019s financial assistance program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the YMCA of Simcoe\/Muskoka moves forward with confidence, utilizing the &#8216;Forward, Together&#8217;&nbsp; Strategic Plan as a guiding light, the organization is poised to meet the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
