{"id":147065,"date":"2023-11-28T07:51:17","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T12:51:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=147065"},"modified":"2023-11-28T07:58:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T12:58:02","slug":"four-occupants-of-mercedes-suv-in-hwy-60-crash-identified-as-international-students-from-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/four-occupants-of-mercedes-suv-in-hwy-60-crash-identified-as-international-students-from-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Four occupants of Mercedes SUV in Hwy. 60 crash identified as international students from China"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews responded to the scene of a two motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 60 near Hidden Valley Road in the Town of Huntsville, resulting in the death of five individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately 11:10 p.m. on November 25, 2023, Huntsville OPP received a call reporting a serious collision involving a westbound Mercedes SUV and an eastbound Ford SUV on Highway 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mercedes contained four individuals, identified by the Canadian Press as four international Chinese students. They were between the ages of 15 and 17 years of age and were living in the North York and Richmond Hill area. All four were pronounced deceased, three at the scene and one in hospital. Police had initially indicated that all four died at the scene of the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver of the Ford was 42-year-old Jessica Lynn Ward (Reid) from Huntsville.
