{"id":144818,"date":"2023-10-06T10:57:48","date_gmt":"2023-10-06T14:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=144818"},"modified":"2023-10-06T10:57:53","modified_gmt":"2023-10-06T14:57:53","slug":"huntsville-opp-nap-trio-of-impaired-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/huntsville-opp-nap-trio-of-impaired-drivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Huntsville OPP nap trio of impaired drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Three Huntsville residents had their day in a Bracebridge courtroom recently.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexander Moore, 29, Nicholas Robtaille, 37 and John Armstrong, 61, all pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, stemming from three separate incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard that on June 2, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., Moore became involved in an argument with the passenger of the car he was driving on Silver Street. He drove away squealing his tires and neighbours called the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When pulled over, Moore showed signs of intoxication. He ultimately blew a reading of 140 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was fined $1,500, given one-year probation and a one-year driving ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Jan. 21, 2023, Robitaille approached a RIDE program on Hanes Road at 4:08 p.m., court heard. Before reaching the checkpoint police observed Robitaille slow down and back into a driveway before driving in the opposite direction. Police pursued and caught up with him on West Road.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police smelled alcohol on his breath and a breathalyzer resulted in readings of 150 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was sentenced to a $2,000 fine and a two-year driving ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 12, 2023, Police were on patrol on Maont Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. They witnessed a car roll through a stop sign and pulled over the driver, Armstrong, a G1 driver.
