{"id":138634,"date":"2023-05-25T06:10:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-25T10:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=138634"},"modified":"2023-05-25T08:20:09","modified_gmt":"2023-05-25T12:20:09","slug":"woman-attempts-to-smuggle-cell-phone-into-beaver-creek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/woman-attempts-to-smuggle-cell-phone-into-beaver-creek\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman arrested for trying to smuggle cell phone into Beaver Creek"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An effort to smuggle contraband into Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst landed a woman in front of a judge recently.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Appearing in a Bracebridge courtroom, Tiffany Snow pleaded guilty to attempting to smuggle a cell phone to an inmate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard that Snow arrived for a scheduled visit with an inmate at Beaver Creek but guards became suspicious after they noticed \u201cquestionable items\u201d in her car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard she was taken to a secure facility and searched, where a cell phone was found hidden on her person. She was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown S. Brown said the situation was particularly concerning as Beaver Creek has recently been subject to an influx of contraband.
