(Supplied photo)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration of National Palliative Care Week, representatives from Hospice Huntsville and the Town of &nbsp;Huntsville participated in the Hospice flag-raising at Huntsville Town Hall last Friday. &nbsp;On Sunday participants from the Hike for Hospice were able to proudly see the flag on their hike routes. &nbsp;Thank you to the Town of Huntsville for this opportunity to raise awareness of hospice and palliative care in our community. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hospice Huntsville and the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) are proud to celebrate National Hospice Palliative Care Week 2023 from May 7th to May 13th. This year\u2019s campaign theme is &#8220;Palliative Care Everywhere,&#8221; emphasizing the importance of ensuring comprehensive and quality palliative care is accessible to every person facing a life-limiting illness, regardless of their setting of care or their postal code.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us in celebrating and building the future of accessible high-quality palliative care for all in our community and across Canada. The organization provides extended support for family members\/caregivers. Hospice Huntsville has been providing palliative care support to our community since 1989. Our visiting volunteer program provides bedside support in our client\u2019s homes, at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice, or at the hospital. This service will allow family and caregiver respite. A grief and bereavement program support for family and caregivers after their loved one has died is also available.
