{"id":137631,"date":"2023-05-08T07:38:41","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T11:38:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=137631"},"modified":"2023-05-08T15:43:14","modified_gmt":"2023-05-08T19:43:14","slug":"interactive-outdoor-gaming-experience-puts-huntsville-on-the-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/interactive-outdoor-gaming-experience-puts-huntsville-on-the-map\/","title":{"rendered":"Interactive outdoor gaming experience puts Huntsville on the map"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When Anne Lindsay, the owner of Muskoka\u2019s Incredible Race, was approached by Romanian app developers last summer to develop a storyline along the Hunters Bay trail for their app, Leplace World, she thought that it was a hoax.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI ignored the emails for several weeks,\u201d she said, \u201cuntil curiosity got the best of me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it turned out, the young owners of Leplace World are Ph.D. and Masters students in Computer Science who were looking to partner with companies that create and organize outdoor experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cWhat they have created is a next-generation treasure-hunting experience,\u201d explained Lindsay.&nbsp; Through their Leplace World mobile phone app, participants have access to storylines from around the world and, she said, this is the first storyline that is based in Canada.
