Please note, the Town will continue with the meeting despite any technical difficulties that may occur.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2021, Skyline Investments Inc. sold the roughly 760-acre Deerhurst Resort to Toronto developer Peter Freed, owner and operator of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeddevelopments.com\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Freed Developments<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Freed Developments is proposing a revised development concept for Deerhurst lands designated in Huntsville\u2019s Official Plan as the \u2018Deerhurst Village Centre \u2013 Plateau.\u2019 That plan consists of two buildings connected via a shared entranceway with ground-floor commercial uses including a restaurant, retail space, and a pool.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both buildings combined would contain 447 recreational resort residential units and the buildings would have a maximum building height of 23.4 metres, according to planning reports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed development would require amendments to the Town of Huntsville&#8217;s Official Plan (OP), and zoning bylaws, in order to proceed.
