{"id":135697,"date":"2023-04-08T09:42:45","date_gmt":"2023-04-08T13:42:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/rwddev\/?p=135697"},"modified":"2023-04-08T11:22:34","modified_gmt":"2023-04-08T15:22:34","slug":"huntsville-seeking-public-input-on-echo-bay-area-water-access","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/huntsville-seeking-public-input-on-echo-bay-area-water-access\/","title":{"rendered":"Huntsville seeking public input on Echo Bay area water access"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A reminder that the Town of Huntsville is seeking public input regarding water access and future amenities in the Echo Bay area on Fairy Lake.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents are encouraged to attend the public meeting on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 pm at the Active Living Centre and\/or participate in an online survey<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>Details from both engagement opportunities will be considered by staff and incorporated into an April report for Council consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Public Meeting:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff representatives will be available to answer questions and engage residents who have an interest in the two site options proposed, to gather public input on parking, accessibility and amenities needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Take the Survey:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in providing your feedback online, please do so by completing the short survey on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/myhuntsville.ca\/public-water-access-survey-for-echo-bay-area\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">myhuntsville.ca<\/span><\/a>. The survey will be available online until&nbsp;Sunday, April 16 at 11:59 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October of 2021, a crib, dock and stairs located on the road allowance at the end of South Fairy Lake Road were identified as hazardous and posted to be removed. After the posted deadline of notice had passed (November 12, 2021) the municipality had the structures that were deemed unsafe, removed.
