Community members lamented the closure and expressed how much they rely on the store for groceries and other goods. Then, on March 24, Joanne Robinson took to social media on behalf of her family to announce a new owner for Robinson&#8217;s General Store. Community members welcomed the news<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Update from Joanne Robinson on behalf of the Robinson family:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;After having been owned and operated by our family for 100 years (1921 to 2021), we were, like all of you, disappointed and devastated when we learned that our beloved Robinson\u2019s General Store closed in January. Since then, we have been working hard in the background to find a solution to allow the business to re-open. We understand the inconvenience this closure has caused the community and we thank you for your patience during this difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we are pleased to announce that a new family, led by brothers Ven Komina and Satya Jyesta, is taking over the operation of Robinson\u2019s General Store and will be re-opening the store very soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowing how much the store is needed by the community, they plan to open in early April. It will take weeks and months after that to ramp up to full operation.
