An OPP Technical Collision Investigator and a Traffic Reconstructionist have completed their investigation into the accident on Brunel Road that killed Seungah Kim. The OPP said that as a result of the investigation, no charges will be laid.<\/div>\n
Last week, Kim’s husband, Mike Talbot, wrote on his Facebook page that he forgives the driver and explained what forgiveness means to him:<\/div>\n
“Forgiveness is a very wide-sweeping term. Forgiveness does not imply fault. Forgiveness eases the feelings of guilt. It eases the “what ifs” and the “if I would haves.” I was 150 miles away and I am asking those questions. I am not forgiving the driver because it was his fault. It wasn’t. Accident means nobody is to blame. I am forgiving him because he is more than likely asking them as well, and I want to try to address them. That is all.”<\/div>\n
There was an outpouring of support for Talbot and their daughter Gina following the accident, with a flower memorial placed at the site of the accident and contributions to a GoFundMe page that totalled more than $26,000.<\/div>\n
