During the weekend of January 27 \u2013 29, 2023, guests will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with Chef Vikram, as well as savour delicious Indian flavours from menus custom designed specifically for this weekend event. A two-night package is available with accommodation, as well as a limited number of Saturday night dinner-only reservations for Muskoka residents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve waited a long time to welcome Chef Vikram due to several pandemic postponements,\u201d explains&nbsp; Rory Golden, Deerhurst\u2019s Director of Food &amp; Beverage. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled that at last our guests can be treated to this exceptionally flavourful dining experience along with the warmth of Chef Vikram\u2019s&nbsp; storytelling and culinary insights.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in India, Chef Vikram made Canada his home over 20 years ago and remains a tireless advocate of\u00a0 Indian cuisine in Canada, and of buying and eating locally produced and sustainable ingredients. His\u00a0 Vancouver-based restaurants have been lauded as among the finest Indian dining experiences in the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his special visit to Deerhurst, Chef Vikram will oversee the preparation for all dishes working with\u00a0 Deerhurst\u2019s Executive Chef, Gus Gulmar, and the resort\u2019s talented culinary team which boasts several international chefs. During Saturday night\u2019s dinner, Chef Vikram will also share the inspiration and stories behind each dish throughout a curated five-course dinner featuring his famous Lamb Popsicles.\u00a0 Guests are encouraged to dress to impress with the vibrant colours of India to add to the rich cultural\u00a0 ambience of the evening. After dinner, Chef Vikram will be delighted to sign guests\u2019 copies of his cookbooks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weekend package includes two nights\u2019 shared accommodation, a Friday night welcome reception featuring a selection of roaming appetizers and an elegant five-course Saturday night dinner, with both evenings hosted by Chef Vikram. A selection of Niagara wines and specialty drinks including classic\u00a0 Indian Mango Lassi and gin and tonic (made with gin from India \u2013 of course!) will be available for\u00a0purchase.
