At the time of the occurrence, Cowan and his family were living in Milford Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A gofundme page has been set up to help support the wife who is from the Huntsville area and their children.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/in-support-of-stephanie-cowan-and-her-children?utm_campaign=p_lico%20share-sheet&amp;utm_medium=copy_link&amp;utm_source=customer&amp;fbclid=IwAR1kJnUfdTrQMvW4skD_1jzK81LXkhk4OoL1Opk2WGBFkcJIZsiCF4vm2zE\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">You can view the page or donate here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the page:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is with profound heartbreak and inconsolable sadness that we have to say goodbye to our beloved Peter Cowan \u2013 an amazing father, husband, brother, son, uncle, friend, community builder, sports enthusiast, arborist and small business owner. Peter was a kind and generous man with a huge laugh and a heart of gold. Peter passed away tragically on Monday, November 14th, leaving behind his loving wife, Stephanie and his two incredible little girls \u2013 the three loves of his life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that Peter\u2019s love and generosity touched so many people. This has become apparent with the outpouring of texts, calls and messages and demonstrates just how far Peter\u2019s reach was with his family, friends and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people have asked how they can help support Stephanie and her daughters. One way to offer support is to help Stephanie and her children navigate this difficult time of loss, grief and sorrow without additional financial stress. Stephanie has given us permission to set up a GoFundMe page on her behalf to help with both short-term and more distant financial support, such as funeral costs and other day-to-day expenses, to help their family through this inexplicable tragedy. On behalf of the Cowan and Strang families, thank you for supporting Peter\u2019s family through this extremely difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development spokesperson Anu Dhar confirmed today that on November 14, 2022, the Ministry was notified of a workplace fatality in Bracebridge, wherein a worker sustained serious injuries as a result of a fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They said the worker was self-employed.
