Did you know that the Town of Huntsville generates on average an estimated $800,000 annually in rental fees? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greg Pilling, manager of facility operations, sales and customer service at the Town, is the person to talk to if you’re looking for space, no matter the size, to host your event. From weddings, birthdays, family gatherings, and other special occasions to corporate events, seminars, lectures, and fundraisers\u2060\u2014the municipality has you covered if it’s a venue you’re after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Town of Huntsville is a vibrant year-round community that boasts some incredible facilities like the multi-purpose Canada Summit Centre with its two ice rinks\u2014The Jack Bionda and the Olympic-sized Don Lough Arena\u2014a swimming pool, walking track, and breakout space. Adjoining the Canada Summit Centre is the state-of-the-art and fully accessible Active Living Centre which contains a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and a large fireplace and boasts 7,000 square feet on two floors, a space that can be divided to host smaller functions. The Active Living Centre also has its own entrance with ample parking and overlooks the Muskoka River. <\/p>\n\n\n

Other venues owned by the Town of Huntsville include Muskoka Heritage Place, the Algonquin Theatre, and the Port Sydney and Utterson\/Stephenson Community Halls, both of which now have A\/C for hot summer days and WIFI. <\/p>\n\n\n

The Town also boasts more than 40 picturesque parks<\/span><\/a>, many with amazing waterfront views like the popular River Mill Park, Brunel Locks, or less-known community gems like the small park in Ilfracombe with views of Buck Lake. Indian Landing, for example, is also a beautiful waterfront park in the Village of Port Sydney. It’s the park with the iconic tree and a beautiful spot for small weddings. Did you know that you can rent these parks for special events as well? While you can’t close off parks to the public at large, getting a permit enables you to set up seating for small functions or have the use of pavilions such as those at the Avery and Hutcheson beaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilling recommends that you book the venues well in advance of your events. Right now he says he’s booking for next year but understands that sometimes things fall through. and staff will work with clients to try to accommodate them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
