Voting will close at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 24.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important that you vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Municipal elections have a history of having low voter turnout, despite their importance at the grassroots level. Municipal elections determine leadership on issues directly related to our quality of life, such as infrastructure, the environment, the local economy, cultural and recreational activities, and overall wellness in both body and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you believe in our community, then it is important for you to have your say. Every vote will count, and every vote can make a difference.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many good candidates standing for election in Muskoka. They deserve attention and they need to know that we are engaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are eligible to vote and have not received your ballot in the mail by now, you likely will not so contact your municipality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, you don\u2019t even have to leave home to vote.
