{"id":11412,"date":"2016-02-25T13:28:10","date_gmt":"2016-02-25T18:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=11412"},"modified":"2016-02-25T13:28:10","modified_gmt":"2016-02-25T18:28:10","slug":"mahc-board-of-directors-seeking-new-applicants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/mahc-board-of-directors-seeking-new-applicants\/","title":{"rendered":"MAHC Board of Directors seeking new applicants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Get involved in your local hospital by applying to join the skills-based, community-oriented team of volunteer directors at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) as a board member or community member of a standing board committee.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong> <broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Previous experience on boards with similar scope and challenges would be an asset.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants for either position must meet eligibility requirements, reside, be employed or be listed on a municipal voters\u2019 list or tax roll in the Muskoka or East Parry Sound geographic area, and be 18 years of age or older. A police criminal record check is also required.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to attending monthly board meetings, board directors must be able to devote at least 15 hours per month for meeting preparation, committee work, and other events for a three-year appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are also being accepted for community members of standing board committees, such as Resources, Governance, Strategic Planning, and\/or Quality &amp; Patient Safety. Applicants must attend the standing committee meetings and provide a time commitment of approximately three to five hours bi-monthly for a one-year appointment.<\/p>\n<p>The application deadline for both a board member and community member is <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_371747347\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Monday, March 21, 2016 at 4 p.m.<\/span><\/span> Apply online today by visiting <a title=\"Redirect me to the Become a Board Member web page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mahc.ca\/en\/about\/Become_a_board_member.asp\" target=\"_blank\">our website<\/a>.
