How do you respond to 1NT opening partner with these bust hands?<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E215\"><strong>Case 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E219\">Spades xx<br>Hearts xxxxx<br>Diamonds xxx<br>Clubs xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E242\">Case 1: Partner opens 1NT. Your partnership is not going anywhere but you have a better contract available to you. Bid Two Diamonds to transfer to Hearts and let partner play Two Hearts. He will prefer that contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E256\"><strong>Case 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E258\">Spades xx<br>Hearts x<br>Diamonds xxxxxxx<br>Clubs xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E282\">Case 2: Partner opens 1NT. You introduce your bust hand wirh seven diamonds by bidding Two Spades as a transfer to the minors. Partner dutifully bids Three Clubs and you correct to Three Diamonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E295\"><strong>Case 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E297\">Spades xxxxx<br>Hearts x<br>Diamonds xxx<br>Clubs xxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E322\">Case 3: Partner opens 1NT.
