{"id":112117,"date":"2022-04-20T11:04:31","date_gmt":"2022-04-20T15:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=112117"},"modified":"2022-04-20T11:04:52","modified_gmt":"2022-04-20T15:04:52","slug":"lake-of-bays-resident-receives-one-year-probation-after-dispute-ends-in-gunfire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/lake-of-bays-resident-receives-one-year-probation-after-dispute-ends-in-gunfire\/","title":{"rendered":"Lake of Bays resident receives one-year probation after dispute ends in gunfire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Lake of Bays woman recently admitted she fired a rifle to ward off unwanted visitors to a Lake of Bays residence.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Appearing virtually in a Bracebridge courtroom, Alexandria Lamondie, 31, pleaded guilty to careless use of a firearm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard that the incident began on October 16, 2021, when police received a call from a woman who said that someone discharged a firearm at her vehicle as she was driving along Britannia Road in Lake of Bays Township.&nbsp;The caller said earlier that day her vehicle had been run off the road by an ATV. That vehicle subsequently proceeded to the driveway of a residence in Lake of Bays, when Lamondie fired a .30-06 rifle to warn them not to come onto the property, court heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Crown attorney heard the male occupant of the house had attracted a certain amount of \u201cnegative attention\u201d in the community and several individuals had arrived at the residence in response.
