{"id":111161,"date":"2022-03-29T17:12:42","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T21:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=111161"},"modified":"2022-03-29T17:13:10","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T21:13:10","slug":"speed-limit-to-increase-on-hwy-11-north-of-emsdale-as-part-of-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/speed-limit-to-increase-on-hwy-11-north-of-emsdale-as-part-of-trial\/","title":{"rendered":"Speed limit to increase on section of Hwy 11 north of Emsdale as part of trial"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Transportation announced today that it will be raising the speed limit to 110 km\/h on a trial basis on the following sections of provincial highways in Northern Ontario, effective April 22, 2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Highway 400 from MacTier to Nobel (approximately 55 km)<\/li><li>Highway 11 from Emsdale to South River (approximately 45 km).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The move comes in conjunction with permanent speed limit increases on some highways in Southern Ontario:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) from Hamilton to St. Catharines (32 km)<\/li><li>Highway 402 from London to Sarnia (90 km)<\/li><li>Highway 417 from Ottawa to the Ontario\/Quebec Border (102 km)<\/li><li>Highway 401 from Windsor to Tilbury (approximately 40 km)<\/li><li>Highway 404 from Newmarket to Woodbine (approximately 16 km)<\/li><li>Highway 417 from Kanata to Arnprior (approximately 37 km)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry said it was increasing speed limits to align posted speeds with other jurisdictions across Canada.
