{"id":110805,"date":"2022-03-23T10:36:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T14:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=110805"},"modified":"2022-03-23T10:36:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-23T14:36:23","slug":"fine-driving-ban-for-man-who-left-scene-of-hwy-11-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/fine-driving-ban-for-man-who-left-scene-of-hwy-11-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Fine, driving ban for man who left scene of Hwy 11 accident"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A driver who left the scene of an accident in Huntsville last year was handed fines and a driving ban in a Bracebridge court last week.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Appearing from jail in Hamilton on unrelated charges, Malcolm Davis pleaded guilty to careless driving and failing to stop for an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard that on August 31, 2020 Huntsville OPP were contacted by a man who said he had been involved in an accident on Highway 11 near Lindgren Road. When police arrived, the victim explained that he was driving along the highway when he saw a car approach him at a rapid pace from behind. The car then rammed into the back of his car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim said two men got out of the car, leaving it in the middle of the highway, leaking fluid.
