The LIMIT YOUR HAND bid is all about giving partner all the information about your hand as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This week we have examples of your hands. You consider which response to use to Limit Your hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Case 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spades xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearts Qxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diamonds AKxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clubs xx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case 1: Your partner opens One Heart. You have support and a minimum hand of 6-9 points. You Limit Your Hand by bidding Two Hearts. Opening partner now knows the value of your hand and makes the next bid according to the value of his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Case 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spades x<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearts AQxxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diamonds x<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clubs Jxxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case 2: Your partner opens One Spade. With six Hearts and ten points including length points, you are happy to bid Two Hearts. Your bid of a new suit shows at least five Hearts and ten points; it is a forcing bid. Partner cannot PASS. Depending on partner\u2019s bid, you must reply to a new suit. You may PASS if partner rebids his suit or supports your suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have a good hand but unless partner pushes by bidding Clubs, you have said all you have to say. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Case 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spades Kx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearts KJx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diamonds xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clubs Axxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case 3: Your partner opens One Club. You have a good supporting hand with 12 points including one length point. Bid Three Clubs. With your jump, you have limited your hand to 10-12 points with at least five Clubs for partner.
