{"id":10852,"date":"2016-02-13T08:28:42","date_gmt":"2016-02-13T13:28:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=10852"},"modified":"2016-02-13T08:29:35","modified_gmt":"2016-02-13T13:29:35","slug":"rocky-horror-auditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/rocky-horror-auditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Calling all actors: open auditions for The Rocky Horror Show coming soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Huntsville Theatre Company is bursting with ANTICI&#8230;..PATION as open auditions for their production of<b> The Rocky Horror Show<\/b> is announced.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong> <broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Auditions for those interested in a<strong> character role<\/strong> will take place on <b>Sunday, March 6 @ 7pm at The Studio Theatre<\/b>. Participants are asked to have a 60 &#8211; 90 second monologue prepared and a song that shows their range. (Song suggestions can be found on the theatre company&#8217;s website but are not restricted to those  &#8211; bring your music accompaniment on a USB stick).<\/p>\n<p>Auditions for <b>chorus\/dancer<\/b> will take place on <b>Monday, March 7 @ 7:30 at The Studio Theatre <\/b>(be prepared to work on a short choreography dance segment).<\/p>\n<p>Call backs are Wednesday, March 9 @ 7:30 and are by invitation only.<\/p>\n<p>This musical explores adult themes.  All performers must be 16 years of age (by August 16th of the current year) to be considered for casting.  In addition, <u>if you will be under the age of 18 as of August 15, 2016<\/u>, you will require a parent or guardian to sign a release for your participation in the show.<\/p>\n<p>The show will be performed with a live rock band headed up by Steve Kubay. Director Greg Hancock is excited to bring his vision for this cult classic to Huntsville. With steam-punk costuming by Teal Cochrane and the visual genius of Greg Perras&#8217;s set design, The Rocky Horror Show is sure to be the biggest hit of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The dates for The Rocky Horror Show performances at the Studio Theatre in Huntsville are August 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2016 at 8:00 pm AND August 20 &amp; 27, 2016 at 12:00 am <em> (That&#8217;s right, folks! Midnight shows!)<\/em> They are also working on performance dates at The Charles Stockey Centre for early September.<\/p>\n<p>Who will fill the boots of the iconic Frank -N-Furter role? Rocky? Popcorn usherette? Or Columbia, Magenta &amp; Riff Raff? What about Eddie, Dr. Scott or Narrator? And don&#8217;t forget Brad &amp; Janet!
