Your partner makes a Michaels Cuebid by bidding the same suit as the opening opponent. How do you respond to partner with the following hands?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E224\"><strong>Case 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E227\">Spades KQx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E233\">Hearts xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E238\">Diamonds xx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E242\">Clubs AKxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E252\">Case 1: Your left hand opponent opens One Heart. Your partner Cuebids Michaels, Two Hearts. He shows a two-suited five-five hand in Spades and an unknown minor. Now you have to respond to your partner\u2019s Cuebid of Two Hearts. You jump bid by bidding Three Spades. Always show support for your partner\u2019s suit as soon as you can. The jump also shows your extra strength with an opening hand. Partner takes the bidding from here. He would PASS if weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E297\"><strong>Case 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E299\">Spades AQxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E305\">Hearts Kxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E311\">Diamonds void<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E316\">Clubs Kxxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E324\">Case 2: Your left hand opponent opens One Club. Your partner overcalls with a Michaels Cuebid, Two Clubs. Partner is showing five-five in both majors. You are happy because you also have an opening hand and a valuable double fit. Just bid Four Spades and let partner go further if he wishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E339\"><strong>Case 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E341\">Spades xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E347\">Hearts void<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E351\">Diamonds KQxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E358\">Clubs AKxxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"E368\">Case 3: Your left hand opponent opens One Heart. Your partner Cuebids Michaels, Two Hearts. You must now choose your bid. You know partner has at least five Spades for which you have support.
