{"id":102660,"date":"2021-09-07T15:43:28","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T19:43:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=102660"},"modified":"2021-09-07T15:43:29","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T19:43:29","slug":"chamberlain-family-donates-almost-500000-for-imaging-technology-at-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/chamberlain-family-donates-almost-500000-for-imaging-technology-at-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Chamberlain family donates almost $500,000 for imaging technology at hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Submitted by the Huntsville Hospital Foundation <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ann and John Chamberlain, residents of Lake of Bays for the past eighteen months and Huntsville area cottagers for the last twenty years, have made a generous donation of close to $500,000 to support future purchases of diagnostic and imaging technology for Huntsville Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith Huntsville\u2019s rapid development, we recognize the need for the hospital to keep pace and even stay ahead of that broader growth,\u201d says John. \u201cOur daughter and her family live here full time, our grandson is a Huntsville High School senior. Leading edge medical technology are local assets that will benefit them and everyone in and around Huntsville for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Focus on Imaging Campaign of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation has set a goal of raising $5 million with three years, all specifically to give the hospital the capital it needs to acquire diagnostics technology and imaging equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cImproving our diagnostics capabilities leads to more precise treatment and even speeds recovery,\u201d says Katherine Craine, executive director of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. \u201cThe new technology is also faster in many cases, which to John\u2019s point, helps the hospital keep up with more patients as the community evolves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnn and John Chamberlain are the champions we count on to boost this capital campaign as we roll into autumn and the winter ahead,\u201d continued Craine. \u201cTheir gift is an inspiration to all donors, and their creativity in using securities as the vehicle for the donation is an example of what can be done to support this important initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Huntsville Hospital Foundation inspires donations and raises funds to help Huntsville Hospital purchase technology and equipment not funded by taxes. Staying in step with changing and evolving medicine helps the hospital attract and retain the best expertise while sustaining its position as one of the leading community hospitals in Ontario.
