It was a nice day to be outdoors, so they sat on a park bench by the dam and talked.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Gambrell had recently lost his wife to cancer after a tough battle, so visiting with a friend was good. When they got back to his house, he realized he didn\u2019t have his wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He frantically tried to retrace all his steps. They returned to the village and searched everywhere they\u2019d been but could not find his wallet, which containted his identification, credit cards, and about $540 in cash. He figured someone had found it and he\u2019d never see it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 10 days later, the rink rat, Caleb&nbsp;MacKay\u2019s email handle, found the wallet stuck inconspicuously between two slats on a park bench by the walking path adjacent to the river in Baysville. He opened it and was able to identify its owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe drove directly to my house, and I was stunned, absolutely stunned,\u201d said Gambrell who thanked him, got his email address, and e-transferred a token of his appreciation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs I said, there was $540 in my wallet, and I was never expecting to see it again. So, it really felt good and he\u2019s a wonderful young guy and I think he deserves to be recognized somehow,\u201d said Gambrell who had this to say in a quick email to MacKay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I can only say again thank you for returning my lost wallet. &nbsp;It shows a lot about your character and personality.
