A driver on Highway 11 who admitted to being impaired appeared in a Braceinbridge courtroom earlier this month.
Tracy Watson of Mattawa pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in her system.
Court heard that on May 4, 2024, at 4:31 a.m., police were called to a collision on Highway 11 southbound in Gravenhurst.
The Bracebridge OPP arrived and spoke with the driver, Watson, who smelled of alcohol and admitted she was impaired. She was also found to be a suspended driver.
She was taken to the hospital where samples of her breath came back with readings of 194 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, more than double the legal limit.
Court heard Watson has a criminal record.
She was fined $2,500 and given a one-year driving ban and 18 months probation.
