Two rooftop patios coming to Huntsville’s Main Street

Photo: The crane is moving a small building that will contain washrooms and serve as the entrance to the larger rooftop patio being created at 59 Main Street.

You may have noticed machinery and a large crane on Huntsville’s Main Street a couple of weeks ago.

Rental venue space is being added to the building at 59 Main Street in the form of two staggered, partly-covered, rooftop patios. The larger one will seat 60 people and include a barbecue and a bar. The smaller one on the lower level will seat 24 people.

A prep area, bar, and additional seating for 40 people will be created on the right side of the front of the building currently occupied by Revel Design Co, which will be moving out in March, according to the building owner.

The spaces will be rented for weddings and other special events, and occasions. The owner said the smaller space will also be available for free for not-for-profit organizations.

Parking would be available at the back of the building. The owner said he has 27 spaces there now, which will be available on weekends and evenings when businesses are closed. He also said if the Brewhouse caters special events, their 10 spaces will be available as well.

The building’s additions and modifications are expected to be completed in time for the summer of 2023.

This is welcome space for Huntsville. It’s especially nice that NFP groups like the 3 PROBUS groups in Huntsville may use some of the space at no charge. We have many events and have a hard time finding affordable space.. The venue will profit as we will be eating and drinking from their menu. Thank you Huntsville Brewhouse!

Will this venue have an elevator?

    Interesting … And I like,
…” The owner said the smaller space will also be available for free for not-for-profit organizations.”

So many NFP’s need space to meet, eat, socialize and plan.
This would be a great ‘moral’ booster for NFP’s to feel valued and support a local business.
Too often NFP’s; I’ve been involved with’ are charged for space use just the same or similar to For Profit groups. Doesn’t make What You Do feel valued.
    Bravo !
