Main Street Dental’s expansion complete

It’s amazing to see the work Dr. Chris Pearce has done to the old Huntsville Forester building as part of the expansion of his dental practice.

Dr. Pearce purchased the building from Torstar in August 2021, after it had sat empty for two years. He undertook significant renovations which were completed this June. The interior is modern, bright, and airy with beautiful wooden accents, state-of-the-art technology, and fully accessible with an elevator off the building’s rear parking area.

Dr. Pearce said with so many people moving to the community, his client list is growing. He has brought several more dentists, dental hygienists, and receptionists on board and is keeping his 3A Main Street location as well. “Let’s put it this way; we were working out of three rooms, and now we’re working out of ten.” He attributes the increase primarily to more people moving to the area. Huntsville is his home town and Dr. Pearce has watched the community change. He said it is great to see the town growing but also likes its small-town feel.

His practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology because he wants his clients to get as many of the services they need, as close to home as possible, without having to travel elsewhere. That includes same-day-crowns. They are made on the premises, rather than having to send a mold of the patient’s tooth off to a lab and having the client return weeks later and have to undergo freezing again. It takes about an hour, rather than weeks, explained Dr. Pearce. A client can sit back relax and watch Netflix until their crown is ready. Other high-tech equipments include three-dimensional X-rays and dental lasers which help remodel tissue and address gum disease, among other applications. “I have a lot of the newest and best technology to assist in achieving overall oral health in our community,” explained Dr. Pearce.

Renovations at the former Forester building have also been undertaken with staff in mind. There is an ample lunch room and a nice bathroom equipped with a shower, particularly for those who live outside of Huntsville and want to go to an event in town after work. Dr. Pearce currently employs about 14 people (excluding dentists who practice privately). When he started his practice in 2013 he employed three people, and they are still with him today, he noted.

His online reviews are phenomenal, and the staff is courteous and friendly. For an appointment, you can reach Main Street Dental at 705-788-0404.
