It’s Wayback Wednesday, sponsored by Pharmasave Huntsville!

It’s not quite snowmobile season yet, but if forecasts are accurate there will be plenty of snow before long. Years ago, one of the ways Huntsville celebrated the snow was with a snowmobile parade. Do you know what year this photo was taken? (Hint: Look closely.) Do you recognize anyone? (Photo courtesy of the Muskoka Heritage Place Collection.)

Last week we shared this photo with you:

Lions Lookout always provides an interesting view. The vista captured in this vintage postcard by Annabelle Studio is no different. (Courtesy of the Muskoka Heritage Place Collection)

Doppler readers had no trouble identifying the former Huntsville hospital in the centre of the photo (now Fairvern Nursing Home), nor the Empire Hotel in the upper left, and many correctly guessed the decade this image was taken: the 1950s.

It was 1967. My cousin Dana Collins and I were in it. I drove a 1967 Skidoo and he was on a sleigh as a trapper from 1867. Too much fun. Ken Warner
