With increasing demand, the housing market in Huntsville is facing huge competition and can be considered a seller’s market. With a shortfall in the number of resale homes available, there is increasing interest in purchasing preconstruction. First-time buyers, downsizers and investors alike are anxiously awaiting details regarding several upcoming local options.

One of these communities, High Crest, has seen a tenfold increase in their VIP list since this summer.  With anticipated occupancy beginning Fall of 2021, its highly anticipated sales package is undergoing final revisions and will be sent to all VIPs before Christmas.

A creation of developer and local builder Edgewood Homes, High Crest aims to have unique details and quality finishing that make it stand apart from the competition, with a philosophy that makes it unique in the marketplace.

Contemporary aesthetic

Known for 20 years of building beautiful homes, Edgewood is creating a community with contemporary finishing inside and out. With upgraded cabinetry and quality finishes as their standard, owners can have a beautiful home without sticker shock during the finish selections.

Open and modern streetscape

Assembling feedback from similar developments, the site plan has pushed the homes further back from the roadway creating wider, more open streets. The addition of over 20 dedicated visitor parking spaces to the first release, removes the need for street parking, supporting an open feeling.

Nestling homes into the natural curves of the land will add interest and prevent townhome blocks from feeling boxy. The creation of an elegant streetscape by utilizing professional design, is supported with the use of modern stonework and quality black windows and doors.

Architectural highlights

In keeping with the philosophy of creating a serene and thoughtfully planned home, a selection of homes will have covered back decks. This addition aims to create intimate gathering areas that can be made cozy during the spring and fall seasons and provide valuable shade during the intense heat of the summer.

All first release homes will have full basements and a selection of those featuring walkouts. With extra high ceilings and an option to include finishing with purchase, these full basements will provide significant additional space for living or storage.

Professional support

Buying any home during the preconstruction phase can be intimidating to even the most experienced buyer. In many cases, new communities are completely sold out before a model can even be constructed. Having a team of dedicated staff that will work with you throughout the entire process from first contact through to final ownership, can help provide reassurance and prevent confusion.

Regardless of the challenges, purchasing a home preconstruction can be an excellent way to make a move within a challenging marketplace.
