This calendar is reserved for non-commercial community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit (but we do make exception for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at email@example.com to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we’ll approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Huntsville a vibrant community!

Derek Shelly author visit at Dwight Public Library
December 9, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Rev. S. Derek Shelly is the minister for Trinity United Church in Huntsville. “Dying to Live” is his fictional novel about issues often confronted by those at end-of-life and/or in palliative care as well as their families.
Using both humour and events drawn from real life, the author has compiled a story in the hope of encouraging others to realize that death is not to be feared.
He will be appearing at the Dwight Public Library on Wednesday, December 9 at 1:00pm.
