This calendar is reserved for non-commercial community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit (but we do make exception for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we’ll approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Huntsville a vibrant community!

An Evening of Stuart McLean Stories hosted by The Centre for Mindfulness in Muskoka
December 27, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm$35
Enjoy an evening of Stuart Mclean stories on Friday, December 27 at Trinity United Church in Huntsville from 7-9 p.m.
You will hear some of our favourite Stuart McLean tales about Dave and Morley as well as live musical performances by local musician, Briar Summers. Settle into the evening by listening to fine musical compositions and performance by Sarah Spring.
Tickets are $35 and available at EventBrite under An Evening of Stuart McLean Stories or by calling (705) 641-0772.
This will be an evening of funny and heart-warming stories and delightful musical interludes. It is brought to you by The Centre for Mindfulness in Muskoka and will raise funds toward their vision of an inclusive and thriving retreat centre for various mindful and contemplative practices. Beautiful and peaceful Muskoka is an ideal location for the centre’s teachers and offerings to guide and support the journey from suffering to awareness.
Look for the Centre for Mindfulness in Muskoka on Facebook or email us at email@example.com.
This event is sponsored by the family-owned and operated Cutting Brothers with over 125 years in artistic woodwork and timber frame design.
Grateful acknowledgment is also due to the estate of Stuart McLean for permission to use these stories.
