This calendar is reserved for non-commercial community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit (but we do make exception for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we’ll approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Huntsville a vibrant community!

Huntsville Art Society online exhibition Envisioning a New Decade
April 24, 2020
An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until May 24, 2020
Building an art exhibition one post at a time
With the closure of the Algonquin Theatre due to the mitigation measures in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the planned exhibition that was to take place in Partners Hall in April and May has gone virtual instead.
The Huntsville Arts Society (HAS) is currently presenting on its Facebook page the annual members’ show Envisioning A New Decade.
The exhibition features a selection of works by 25 of its members, and is being mounted incrementally, one art work at a time. Each piece is accompanied by the artist’s reflection on the significance of the work presented, within the context of our current situation.
