At its December 16 meeting, District of Muskoka Council emerged from closed session discussions with a resolution giving staff authorization to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) District 7.
The Memorandum will enable local snowmobile clubs to use District lands as part of their trails and include the municipality in its liability insurance.
Council gave the District Chief Administrative Officer and the Commissioner of Engineering and Public Works authorization to enter into the Memorandum with the OFSC once the organization provides the municipality with a mapping of the District lands to be included in its trails.
