The Corridor 11 Bus, operated by Hammond Transportation, has been running Monday to Friday from Huntsville to Barrie and back since 2012, making stops along the way in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Washago, Orillia and Barrie. Starting April 1, Port Sydney will be added to that list with at stop at Smith’s Ultramar just off Highway 11.
Also new effective April first, there will be two different schedules: one for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the other for Tuesdays and Thursdays. And passengers travelling to Barrie will now have to transfer buses in Orillia at Georgian College. Bus times will line up with the southbound bus in Orillia to make for a smooth transition and the Corridor 11 ticket will be transferrable to the new bus, so passengers will continue travel with their Corridor 11 ticket for the full trip.

I am glad to hear the corridor11 bus continues to be viable and expanding. I hope they are also looking at a weekend bus. I was amazed how many people took the northbound train from Gravenhurst to Huntsville for a couple of hours of shopping then returning on the southbound train.
